The Oxbridge Research Group (TORG) is always looking for fresh minds to join our ranks. We have recently expanded, and need more new writers than ever before - across all subject areas.
To be eligible to work for TORG, you must be a student, graduate or lecturer of Oxford University or Cambridge University.
TORG has three basic divisions: Oxbridge Academia™, Oxbridge Law™ and Oxbridge Career Consultants™, each of which are umbrellas for several Oxbridge brand services. When you become a member of TORG, you will automatically begin to receive emails, on a daily basis, giving you details of new available briefs.
Additionally, if you study or have studied law, then you will also be eligible to work for some or all of our Oxbridge Law services. If you have studied for an MBA or worked as an investment banker, then you may also be eligible to work for our Oxbridge Career Consultants services.
If you DO NOT want to receive briefs from particular TORG services, you can select those when filling in the application form. Please note that you may change this selection at any time by contacting us.
Earnings - The principal advantage of working for The Oxbridge Research Group is financial. Many of our briefs command fees of hundreds or even thousands of pounds, often for no more than one or two days of work. A few large pieces and one's student loan debt looks much smaller! Whilst such pieces are not likely to be available to you every day, our standard writer rates will still earn you much more than any other job that you are likely to have at university or immediately after it.
Freedom - The second great advantage of joining The Oxbridge Research Group is that for most types of work you can work whenever, wherever and upon whatever work you like. You can work from Antarctica or Tahiti, from university or home, and all months of the year. You only need access to good sources for research, and the internet for communication with us.
Obligations - You have no obligation whatsoever to accept briefs, and may work as seldom or as often as you like. You could undertake twenty assignments a month or none - the choice is entirely yours! As such, you may adjust the number of briefs you undertake according to your academic commitments. You may work only in the vacations if you wish.
Variety - Having such a broad spectrum of services, and sub-services, The Oxbridge Research Group offers a great deal of variation and choice, from writing a personal statement to editing an auto-biography! This means that you can undertake work according to how much spare time you have; you could bid for a short brief that could take you less than an hour to complete or a project that could take several days or even weeks. You may work upon whichever subjects you feel qualified to.

Below are some examples of our writer prices:
Oxbridge Editing
Editing provides both financial rewards and exciting opportunities. Proofreading a 5000 word essay takes little time and earns around £100. Editing a PhD thesis may earn the editor up to £1500. Accomplished editors also have the opportunity to edit books for publishing - an impressive addition to any CV.
Oxbridge Essays
As an essay writer you can undertake as many or as few briefs as you like, meaning that you can comfortably fit paid work around your academic commitments. Occassional writers regularly submit invoices of £2000+, whilst full-time writers can earn as much as £6,000 per month.
Oxbridge Primary Research
Researchers can earn high fees of up to £4,000 and be involved in prestigious academic and commercial projects. For those on a busy schedule, smaller briefs can earn researchers a steady income for only a few hours work utilising skills that others may not possess. For example, researchers with statistical knowledge can earn £90 in one sitting simply following a set of instructions running tests on data sets already provided. Other work includes the potential to earn £300 to £500 to perform the legwork on data collection - financial figures for example - or coming up with questionnaire or interview templates for a range of dissertation subjects.
Oxbridge Law
Law tutors earn from £20 to £80 per hour, depending on the level of tuition and the number of tutees being assisted. Preparation and a short conference call are expected. Tuition is offered both at our London offices and at customers' homes, with travel expenses negotiable. Prizes and scholarships are available for tutors with positive feedback. On the other hand, you could earn up to £100 for two hours work editing OLPAS forms, writing model answers, assessing the suitability of candidates for chambers and writing covering letters for mini-pupillages. In-person consultations can earn experts up to and in some cases more than £50 per hour. Most consistent experts are offered increasingly rewarding work over time.
Oxbridge Investment Banking
As an adviser, you will assist investment banking candidates (mainly interns, analysts, associates) with their applications, via a range of services: interview preparation, written application material editing, numeracy tutorials, banking lunches and more besides. Both hourly and daily rates are excellent, often paying £100 - £200 per hour and as much as £500 - £600 for a day's work.
Please note that these rates are approximate and the fee may change depending on the exact specifications of a particular brief.
You will be paid on the first day of every month; you will need to send an invoice by the 28th of the previous month to get paid. (An invoice template will be provided upon joining).

Which subjects do you need writers for?
The Oxbridge Research Group (TORG) is always looking for first-class minds to join our ranks. We have recently expanded, and need more new writers than ever before, across all subject areas. We need writers for all subjects studied in UK schools and universities, and we accept writers from all courses studied at Oxford and Cambridge.
Writers from non-essay subjects such as mathematics or chemistry are invited to join since they will still be eligible to undertake Primary Research and Editing briefs, and to write CVs, personal statements, coursework, revision sheets and cover letters both in their degree and their A-Level subjects.
Likewise, writers from more unusual subjects such as Egyptology and Anglo-Saxon, Norse & Celtic are warmly invited to join TORG both because they will be eligible to take on Primary Research and Editing briefs, and to write personal statements, revision sheets etc., and also because we have few writers in these subjects and therefore they will be very likely to be confirmed for those lucrative works which we do receive.
If you are an Oxbridge graduate, now at a non-Oxbridge university and taking a course not offered by Oxford or Cambridge, you may apply to write on that subject also.
How does it work?
Once your application has been processed, you will begin to receive briefs by email. These emails will state your fee for the work and give the client's exact specifications; if you would like to bid for the work, then you simply send us an email saying so and giving your telephone number. Several writers usually bid for each brief, and we confirm the work with one. Your bid stays 'live' for three days and, if you have not been confirmed for the brief after 72 hours, you may assume that you have not been chosen this time.
If successfully confirmed for a brief, you will have a deadline to submit the work by; beyond this date the client may request alterations up to ten days.
You are encouraged to bid as widely across subjects as you feel confident doing, thus increasing your chances of being delegated work. Since it is unlikely that titles will regularly come up in exactly the form you have studied them at Oxford or Cambridge, willingness to look up new areas will be advantageous to you. Likewise, any writer can bid for any standard and any level of work so long as they feel confident completing that work to the required standard.
You can bid for as many briefs as you like at any one time, and you do not need to fear being overloaded since our Delegations Team will ensure that you are not given too much.
Am I obliged to undertake work?
No. Writers have no obligations whatsoever to undertake briefs, and you may work as seldom or as often as you like. You only need access to good sources for research and the internet for communication with us. You simply bid for whichever pieces you would like to as they come through to your email account. Thus you could undertake fifty briefs per month or none — the choice is entirely yours!
Will my tutor/university find out that I work for TORG?
No. The Oxbridge Research Group will never contact either tutors or Oxford/Cambridge University to verify the identities of applicants. The only people to know of your application will be staff at TORG and we will never divulge your identity to any third party. All correspondence with clients will be mediated by us, and so you will never need to reveal your details to clients either.
What will my tax status be working for TORG?
You will work for us as a self-employed freelance writer. You will need to submit your own tax-return to the Inland Revenue.
Is it easy to terminate my service agreement?
Yes. Simply send us an email or letter asking to end your agreement. It will take effect immediately and we will confirm it with you.
